UFC 3 Title fight rematch glitch

I'm playing in career mode and I beat Robert Whittaker for the title. He was given an immediate rematch, where he beat me. Then I was given an immediate rematch and took back my title. But we've been rematched 7 straight times now (win one, lose one)  and I can't seem to pair up with anyone but him. 

Is there an automatic rematch clause where you have to win then defend against the same person before you get new opponents?
