UFC 4 Patch Notes (4.0)

Hello EA SPORTS UFC fans!

Welcome to Brocktober! Patch 4.0 is officially live and we are excited to announce the addition of wrestling superstar and former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar to EA SPORTS UFC 4. With the new update you can unlock Brock Lesnar for free from 10/22/20-10/29/20 (Offer may vary or change - see store.playstation.com and store.xbox.com for details; requires EA SPORTS UFC 4 (sold separately), internet connection, and all game updates). Act fast because afterwards he will only be available in the store for a price of $2.50. You can also look forward to two additional licensed fighters (Askar Askarov and Jennifer Maia), a suite of new Halloween inspired vanity, and plenty of gameplay updates. Brock Lesnar makes his long awaited return to the digital octagon as a 4 star overall fighter in the heavyweight division. Lead by his 4.5 star grappling and his well rounded 4 star striking and health. Lesnar adds depth and excitement to the heavyweight roster.



Askar Askarov, the #3 ranked flyweight in the UFC joins the game with a 4 star overall ranking including 4.5 stars on grappling and 4.5 stars in both grappling and health.



Jennifer Maia joins the women's flyweight division just ahead of her title shot vs Valentina Shevchenko. She boasts a 4 star overall rating driven by her 4.5 star health and 4 star grappling.



The new vanity added will include Halloween inspired pieces such as a mummy, werewolf, creepy clown, and more. Additionally, we have added additional hairstyles to the created fighter options and new texture options to many of the existing pieces of vanity. You will also notice that all venues are now selectable in Online Invite, Tournament, and event modes.

Gameplay saw various bug fixes and updates in this patch including animation improvements for ground and pound, balancing for takedowns, and improvements to striking. We are continuing to monitor community feedback and will look to make additional gameplay changes in future patches.

- Ground - Fixed an issue where camera would stop tracking fighters in ground game
- Striking - Lead Spinning Kick Animation slowed down.
- Striking - Slowed down teep kick in combos
- Striking - Enabled strikes in Arcade/Stand-Up modes that weren’t able to be used due to sharing the same button combination of initiating clinch.
- Striking - Tuned walking speed when engaging in striking to allow more time for counter punches.
- Clinch - Fixed Body Hooks in Single Under against the cage.
- Takedowns - Tuned Stamina for Tower Takedown.
- Takedowns - Added additional scramble scenarios after takedown.
- Takedowns - Scrambles will now cost stamina for both fighters.
- KO - Fixed a rare occurrence where knocking out an opponent at the end of round will continue into the next round instead of ending it.

Misc. Updates
- Fixed an issue in Career where Created Fighter’s custom tattoos did not display in early cut scenes.
- Updated likeness for Renato Moicano.
- Updated likeness for Johnny Walker.
- Fixed various clothing issues.
