UFC 4 Submissions, please help EA

Could the submissions in this game be any more of a pile of garbage? There was no issue at all with the way you guys had it before, UFC 3 was perfect, all you guys had to do was smooth it out a little and add some more fighters, but no, you guys go off an totally re-tool the only thing about this game I enjoyed. 

I spent an enormous amount of time trying to master the submissions and then you guys completely change it, and for what? To cater to a bunch of crybabies. I hate complaining and never did before, but good god, this is like going from a white belt to black belt then back to white. 

I've never been good on the ground in any installment of the game, but the submissions where one thing I could use to defend myself, now it's just trash. 

Good luck defending an armbar or any joint lock in this game, especially against the better submission artists. I'm trying to be optimistic, I played the beta and I'm 9 hours in on the EA Access trial, and I just can't get over how frustrating the submissions have become in this game. 

Please EA, for the love of god, please do something about it. Add it to the legacy controls, please, anything. I love what you guys did with striking, I love what you did with clinch, I'm even find with the wrestling and transition movements, which is something I've always sucked at, but please, please, please do something about these God awful submissions.
