This game is good but could learn from, and add things, from ufc undisupted 3. A title mode would be amazing, both a title defense mode and an attempt at the title mode. Also the career mode in undisputed 3 is more in depth and captivating while being an older game made for simpler consoles.
They know about UFC 3, but don't necessarily want to duplicate it. Title Mode was suggested to the team, but they had to make decisions based on their budget and that mode didn't make it.
Agreed on the depth of the career mode. However, one of the biggest gripes was the depth they added in the form of fighters/trainers addressing you after a fight. Almost everyone wanted those gone. We also didn't want tons of training games. They put the mode together with our feedback, and their own ideas. They didn't do a bad job. They just didn't add enough depth. Something this mode needs for sure. Career Mode is supposed to be the offline mode to play. However, they listen to the feedback and more wanted less interaction. However, they were likely talking about the video clips.
Comparing these games to Undisputed 3 is like apples and oranges. THQ and Yukes had almost 5 years to make Undisputed 3 if you include Undisputed 2009 and 2010. EA will get there, but it takes time. Especially since the games are more complicated from EA. The physics, fluidity, and everything else are much more complicated to produce.
They are already looking for grappling moves people want to see that aren't in EA UFC 2. The support for these games has been phenomenal, and that is a welcome change from the THQ days. If we got any dev interaction with Undisputed, I don't remember it. I think they did for 2009, but I didn't get on their boards until after 2010 was released.
