What is wrong with AI transition pass and deny?

Im in career mode. My fighter is a striker, but i have all his grapple defence stats to almost 90. Everytime i get taken down, the AI can make a transition almost instantly. I have to deny it like wit...

I just started a new career just to try things out, and it actually seems like the AI cheats all the time. I have a barn burner of a match with my opponent and they outstrike me by three strikes over three rounds (41-38) and I had ZERO stamina and they had ~90% at the end. They don't lose any stamina at all.

You wanna know what I think is happening? I think the effects of "ice tilt" are currently turned on permanently or something along those lines. I'm on Normal difficulty and my opponent isn't losing any stamina at all.
Grappling is downright unfair, though. What the hell is going on?

Yeah, at this point I'm pretty much sure career mode AI cheats. I just put it on easy and get it over with. I enjoy what they do to the mode but man, there's always something wrong with EA games. Still love this game a ton so far, but until they fix the AI in this mode, I'm good with other modes.
