When i try to play ufc 4 it says i cant login for some reason

When I try to play ufc 4 it won't let me play because it says I can't login with my ea account. It doesn't allow me to sign out or make any changes to account login information or anything.  It tells me to go to the ea unable to connect site and I did. Yet I can't find an answer to why I can't play using my account. Is it because I haven't used this account for an extended amount of time?
