Apex Legends / e-district map: game crashes at Heights / Old Town POIs

Apex Legends is crashing to desktop with no error message from Apex Legends or error logging in Apex\Crashpad\db folder. I have copied the Windows Event View message here when the game crashed:

I am running on Windows 11 Pro, Processor  12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900K, No Overclocking, 32 GB RAM with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Video Card, Motherboard: TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI, running the latest Nvidia Drivers 566.36

This is repeatable crash every time I am playing the e-district map in the following POIs:

Heights and Old Town.

Apex Legends does not crash or have any other issues on the other maps, otherwise runs flawlessly.

I have attached a picture of my screen when it hard crashes to desktop. See crash.jpg.

Let me know what other information you might need.

Thanks for your support!

  • Hi Apex Team,

I am following up again on this issue. I tried E-district and landed in heights to the usual spot that is crashes.

I actually got an error message this time:

    Failed to Join Session

We couldn't connect to the game session because it's either full or no longer available.

    Error Code: EC:10200

I am guessing this is a network issue. I am running on a wired connection from my PC directly to my cable modem. I tried running wifi network connection to my cable modem (it has built in wifi), but also go the same crash to desktop.

I have run the EA desktop app, app recovery to clear the cache.

For now, I can replicate the error every time I drop into e-district.

    Any ideas?

  • Hi Folks,

This was resolved by re-installing Windows 11 Pro from scratch. Complete hard drive wipe first.

    Thanks,

    todd
