Crash during launch
I have a new PC with up-to-date drivers and Windows. I can't start Apex Legends from Steam on this PC, but don't have any problem with other games (20+). The startup crashes with "The application has encountered an unexpected error" message and generates a .dmp file. I reinstalled Apex multiple times and even Windows once. After Windows reinstallation Steam+Apex were the first two applications on the PC. I tried to uninstall Apex from Steam and run it from EA app as administrator as well but got the same error. I tried to remove the EAC folder and repair Apex in EA app. All overlays and monitoring tools are disabled. I contacted the support, but these were all their ideas and they asked me to open a ticket here.20Views1like0CommentsApex freezes after first match – RTX * + Ryzen 9800X3D – all fixes tried
Platform: PC System: GPU: NVIDIA RTX * CPU: AMD Ryzen 9800X3D RAM: 64 GB DDR5 OS: Windows 11 (up to date) Game version: Latest Installed via: EA App Driver: NVIDIA Game Ready 560.xx (tried also 559.xx rollback) Issue Every single session, Apex Legends freezes after completing the first match. The game runs perfectly fine during the first match (240+ FPS stable), but right after it ends — in lobby, loading, or pre-match screen — the game do a micro freeze evry 5 seconds It is not a crash. No error code. No dump. It just locks up. Things I’ve already tried (none worked): Deleted all config files in Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\local Disabled all overlays (Discord, NVIDIA, Steam) Reinstalled EA App and cleared AppData + cache folders Reinstalled Apex Legends on a different SSD Forced DX11 with -eac_launcher_settings SettingsDX11.json Adjusted videoconfig.txt: Texture streaming to * Made file read-only Changed all graphics settings (including shadow detail, streaming budget to NONE) Turned off Reflex, v-sync, g-sync Performed clean GPU driver install with DDU (tried 3 different versions) Set process priority to HIGH and disabled full-screen optimization Launched as admin Tested with and without high polling rate peripherals Notes This is the only game with issues on my system. All other demanding titles (Warzone, ACC, F1, etc.) run flawlessly The issue seems to be triggered by memory overflow or driver conflict after match #1. There are similar reports from users with RTX */*and 7800X3D/9800X3D-class CPUs. Temporary workaround Currently the only working workaround is: Play one match Exit the game manually after match Relaunch Apex Not sustainable, but proves it’s a persistent session memory or post-match state issue. Please investigate This bug seems linked to next-gen GPUs or driver incompatibility, possibly due to VRAM handling or anti-cheat interaction. It’s affecting multiple users with new builds. If devs need logs, dumps, or a dxdiag, I’ll be happy to provide it. Thanks.148Views1like2CommentsBUG REPORT – EasyAntiCheat_EOS.sys Continuous Kernel Scan Loop (Apex Legends)
Game Apex Legends Anti-Cheat Easy Anti-Cheat (EOS branch) Platform Windows 10 22H2 (same behavior previously observed on Windows 11) Issue persists even after clean OS installation --- Problem Description While Apex Legends is running, the kernel driver easyanticheat_eos.sys performs continuous scanning without stopping. This causes persistent high CPU usage through kernel components such as: ntoskrnl.exe Wdf01000.sys occasionally dxgkrnl.sys CPU usage immediately returns to normal as soon as the game is closed. --- Very high CPU usage even in the lobby (especially noticeable on older CPUs) --- Critical Comparison (Important) On the same system, with the same OS and hardware: Fortnite – had the same issue before, later fixed VRChat – had the same issue before, later fixed Apex Legends – issue still persists This strongly indicates: Not a hardware problem Not an OS or GPU driver issue Apex-specific Easy Anti-Cheat EOS module / policy regression --- Attempted Fixes (No Effect) Windows 11 → Windows 10 downgrade Multiple NVIDIA GPU driver versions Memory Integrity / VBS / Hyper-V disabled Easy Anti-Cheat reinstall All overlays and third-party tools disabled --- This behavior was resolved in Fortnite and VRChat after updates, but remains in Apex Legends. --- Possible Cause (Hypothesis) The Apex Legends-specific Easy Anti-Cheat EOS game module may be causing a kernel callback loop, particularly on older CPU architectures. --- Additional Notes This is not a configuration or performance-tuning issue. It appears to be a kernel-level Easy Anti-Cheat regression specific to Apex Legends.30Views1like0CommentsDesync Endgame
I was playing Plat ranked top 2. I phased, got down mid phase and then got booted because I desynced from the server. Lost 96 rp and not to mention the 210 from the game, and a 10 minute ban. Definitely not my wifi, I have a stable connection and am close to the router. Wtf are these servers7Views0likes0CommentsCritical Reconnect Failure & Unjust RP Penalties (Recurring Issue)
I am writing to report a critical issue with the penalty system in Apex Legends that resulted in an unfair and severe punishment during a ranked match. Today, during a Diamond-tier ranked game on PC, I experienced a very brief internet disconnection lasting no more than two seconds. My connection restored immediately, and I attempted to reconnect to the ongoing match without delay using the game's reconnection feature. However, instead of successfully rejoining my squad, the game forcibly returned me to the main lobby. Subsequently, I received a 10-minute matchmaking ban penalty and, most detrimentally, lost 162 Ranked Points. This is extremely frustrating as our squad was in a stable position at the moment of the disconnect, and I was on track to gain approximately +32 RP for that match. The system did not provide a viable reconnection path despite my immediate attempt, punishing me for a minor technical hiccup outside of my control. Losing 162 RP at the Diamond level represents a significant and demoralizing setback, negating hours of dedicated effort. I am writing now because this identical situation has just happened to me AGAIN, which proves this is a recurring system failure and not a one-time error. In this latest match, I experienced several very brief disconnections over a minute (each lasting only a few seconds) during a critical fight. Each time, my internet recovered fully and I was able to click "Reconnect" immediately. However, on the final attempt, the game did not put me back into the match. Instead, it threw me to the lobby with a message that the match had concluded, and I was again penalized with another -162 RP loss, while my teammate was still actively playing in the game. This is completely unacceptable. I am being punished with the maximum penalty for a technical issue I cannot control, and the game's 'Reconnect' feature is fundamentally broken, failing to do its one job. I kindly request a review of both automated penalties on my account. Please consider reversing these 162 RP deductions and removing the associated bans, as the punishment is disproportionate to the circumstance—a fleeting connection loss followed by an earnest but blocked reconnection attempt. The reconnect functionality clearly and consistently fails in these scenarios, leading to unjust outcomes for players who are willing and trying to continue the match. This is now a pattern. I hope you can address these specific incidents and urgently note the broader system behavior for immediate improvement. The reconnect feature must be fixed to handle short, real-world internet fluctuations, or the penalty logic must be adjusted to recognize when a player is actively trying to rejoin. The current system is actively punishing your most dedicated ranked players for trying to play your game. P.S. And here's the most infuriating part that confirms it's the game's issue: these disconnects happen almost exclusively during intense fights (never while looting or rotating), and they never occur twice in a row. It feels deliberate, like the game kicks me the moment the action starts and then blocks me from coming back. I don't have this crippling reconnection problem in ANY other game. Thank you for your time and assistance.27Views0likes0CommentsRank match crashed and sent me to 0 rp
For some context i loaded up apex and hoped into rank, worlds edge to be exact, and when i got pushed by 2 teams and went to heal using a sheild cell the game crashed with no warning or nothing and when i got back to the lobby, after having to relaunch 5 times, it said 0 / 750 rp when it should be around 100 even with the rank lose for entry. I dont know what happend but i feel this isnt supposted to be in the game. thank you for your time!16Views0likes0Comments
