Auto Weapons Fire Single Shots Instead
I'm not sure if this is considered a bug/error (I'm not a tech person), But it's annoying and has been persistent for my last 3 matches. After updating Apex Legends on April 16, 2026, I encountered a firing issue while playing Wildcard matches:
- When hipfiring with full-auto weapons (e.g., R-99, R-301), they behave normally and spray continuously.
- When aiming down sights (ADS), the same weapons only fire single shots, as if stuck in semi-auto mode.
- This happens regardless of weapon choice, fire mode toggle, or attachments.
I attempted:
- Test full-auto weapons in Firing Range.
- Reset in-game settings to default.
- Tested with multiple mice (wired and wireless).
- Rebound ADS to keyboard keys (e.g., Shift, W).
- Rebound fire to keyboard keys.
- Restarted the game.
- Issue persists across all tests.
Weapons should fire full-auto both while hipfiring and while aiming down sights. In my game, weapons only fire single shots when hipfiring and aiming down sights, regardless of fire mode or weapon type.
This so-called 'bug' occurred on April 16, 2026 (immediately after updating the game). I've never encountered this issue before. This bug makes full-auto weapons unusable, severely affecting gameplay.
