In Bot Royale, the bots land and die in out of bounds areas on all the maps.
At the start of the season it was terrible, you couldn't play the game, it happened on all the maps, it went from like 8 squads to nothing, all because of bad landings.
I recently hopped back into the game. A couple of games in and the bots on my team even died to out of bounds timer.
