Could be the possibility of corrupted game files, might be worth a shot to let your game launcher validate the files to make sure they're still proper.
Repairing game files (PC)

Steps:
1. Open the EA App
2. Navigate to your game in question
3. Click on the "Manage" button
4. Click on Repair
5. Wait until it's done repairing the gameSteam

1. Open Steam
2. Search for your game in the left section of your library
3. Right click on your game
4. Click on the "Properties" button
5. Go to the "Installed Files" tab
6. Click on the "Verify integrity of game files" button
7. Wait until it's done repairing the game[Steam Support] - Verify Integrity of Game Files
Give those steps a go and check if it stops the issue from happening.
That task has already been completed.
Restarting and reinstalling did not change the situation.
I also reinstalled the EA Launcher, but that did not change the situation either.
