Horizon newt scoot perk issue?

As of the new apex season, with Horizon receiving new perks, specifically her newt scoot perk has anyone had the issue where they have to hold their jump button instead of tapping it? Recently, I've had this issue happen every once and a while. I play on pc with a controller, at times I'd use my gravity lift and exit it to sky bomb enemies the perk would randomly stop working. I'd restart my game or do file integrity verification but otherwise I'm just curious to see if I'm the only experiencing this.
