Mic showing active constantly
Hello EA Bug Support,
Apex legends is consistently showing that I'm speaking even though I am not actively speaking when I am in a match. This is shown through the mic icon near my gamertag going off, however this only occurs in Apex Legends and not in other games or Xbox's party. I believe there is an audio/mic bug that forces my headset to pick up every sound such as button clicks on my controller or every breath I take even though I'm a light breather. I have had this issue with several headsets including Astro A20, Astro A40, Steel Series Arctis 7x+. This bug is impacts enjoyment in the game due to showing me speaking when i'm not which creates visual clutter.
Listed below is my hardware information, Apex legends settings, and Xbox mic settings.
Xbox Series X (Console)
Steel Series Arctis 7x+ (Wireless Headset)
Apex Audio voice chat settings:
Open Mic Record Threshold: Attempted using default setting of 1300 and moved the setting to max 32767. Both showed the mic activating.
Income voice chat volume: 100%
Xbox settings General > Volume & audio output:
Headset Audio: Windows Sonic for Headphones.
Advanced options: Mute speaker audio when headset attached
Chat mixer: Do nothing.
Party Chat Output: Headset
Attempted Solves: Updated headsets, console up to date, Apex up to date, Adjusted headset mic volume (Headset sensitivity) setting in Steel series App, turned off mic sidetone, cleared xbox cache, performed a full console reset.
