Spark bonus

Didnt get any spark bonus progress after opening 10 pack. I did it 10 min after it had reset and i had not restarted my game and it had been running before the reset. Should i always restart my game before opening packs? But it feels weird that i can see its a new weekly spark bonus but i cant get it until i restart the game.
