I am a Splatoon 3 player and I'm seeing the same thing. This bug makes it entirely impossible to play for me, so I hope they fix this! And for clarity, Splatoon works perfectly fine using the same controller, and I see this bug both with my Pro Controller 2 and with the joy-cons in handheld mode.
