Aim Assist Zoom Snap does nothing when using linear curve

Aim Assist Zoom Snap does nothing when using linear curve.

when I go to the firing range on PlayStation, and hold the crosshair next to their heads, then ADS, the cursor does not snap to their heads. Maybe it has to do with me playing on linear curve?
