Battle Royale: Headhunter mission timer is wrong

We accepted a Headhunter countermission and chased our target. With 1 second left on the clock, I killed them. A couple seconds later we get the banner saying MISSION FAILED.

The SQUAD WIPE banner popped up and in the killfeed it showed the deaths of our target and two other players of his squad getting terminated (because I had also downed them before), both when the timer was at 00:01. Pause the video when those things show up and you'll see it happens at 00:01. The server clearly acknowledged we defeated that player and their squad, but yet the mission was failed.

So it looks like the timer of that mission is off by at least one second, if not more.
