Battlefield 6 – Complete Audio Loss (Focusrite Solo 4th Gen)
Hi everyone,
I’m posting here because I’ve been experiencing a very specific audio issue with Battlefield 6 when using my Focusrite Solo 4th Gen (driver 4.144.0.362). I use this audio interface daily for music production and gaming, and it works flawlessly in every other game and application.
Issue Description
- When I launch Battlefield 6, all audio output crash, Audio device still there but not sound.
- The only way to recover sound is to unplug and re‑plug the USB cable of the interface.
- Sometimes, I also get audio crackling/popping during gameplay.
- This problem has been happening for multiple months.
Important Note
➡️ Battlefield 6 is the ONLY game with this issue. No other EA title, no other game, no DAW, no software shows this behavior.
System Details
- Windows 25H2 – build 26200.8737
- Focusrite Solo 4th Gen – driver 4.144.0.362
- USB connection is stable, no power issues, no hub involved.
Possible Cause
I know that EA Anti‑Cheat can sometimes interact strangely with certain drivers or external audio devices. This might be related, but I can’t confirm.
if EA Support or other users need:
- logs
- dumps
- captures
- diagnostic outputs I can provide anything required using specific tools.
If anyone has encountered similar issues with external audio interfaces or has a workaround, I’d appreciate any insight. And if EA staff sees this, I’m fully available to help troubleshoot.
Thanks!
