Battlefield 6 completely disables computer keyboard

Hello,

I am experiencing a one of a kind bug, first to be found it seems in the Battlefield series.
I have been playing the game for quite some time, no issues. Today I booted up the game, and every time I play, BF6 completely disables my keyboard. Cant use windows shortcuts to escape (control alt delete), and closing the game from the Menu, the keyboard is still disabled.

I have tried after getting the game to close through the menu:

  • Using On Screen Keyboard to uninstall EAC
  • Uninstall keyboard drivers and reinstall
  • Stop all EAC services
  • Close all EA and Battlefield services

Doing all of this, my keyboard will not re-enable. No other game has this issue.

I decided to update windows, and once the update was done thought I would try again, I launched Battlefield, my keyboard was working in the menu and for a few seconds in game, but then it disabled again. I could not open the in game menu as I was in Spawn, so my only choice was to completely power cycle my computer.

Please look into this, this is so strange and unlike any game issue I have ever seen before.

Same I've tried everything like you have. It is 1000% something with the Asus Rog laptop drivers that EA is not fixing. It only happens with Bf6. The only solution is to not use my laptop keyboard. And even then thats not even a solution lol...still have to force power cycle my laptop when im done playing.

Ive been a life long battlefield fan since battlefield 2 playing on my dads computer when I was a little kid and this system breaking bug still being a thing is just a slap in the face to life long fans.

EA_LunardustCat I've found the root of the issue. It is with javelin anti cheat messing up the ASUS ROG Strix laptop keyboard drivers. See everyone above having the same issues with us having the same laptop.

Reason how I know this is that I decided to install BF1 on my laptop. And guess what. The same issue that happened here at BF6 is also happening with BF1, and they use the same anti cheat. BF4 obviously does not have this issue, as it uses Punkbuster. Can play BF4 fine with no It is 100% a recent update to Javelin that is not talking well with Armory Crate or ROG keyboard drivers

Please, respectfully, take responsibility for this failure.

Do not come to us with instructions on how we, the customers, should “fix” our PC. We are not the ones who should be troubleshooting and repairing the problems caused by your game. You are the ones who should be fixing the game. We paid for a functional product, not for a game full of bugs, crashes, and technical issues, followed by a list of generic “solutions” telling us what we should do with our own PC.

Before telling us to reinstall drivers, verify files, reinstall the game, change settings, or troubleshoot our hardware, take responsibility and acknowledge that the problem is with your product.

It is completely unacceptable to release a game full of bugs and then shift the responsibility onto your customers. If thousands of players are experiencing the same problems, the solution is not to tell us how to “fix” our PC. The solution is to fix the game.

We expect EA to do its job: take responsibility, communicate honestly, and actually fix the problems instead of blaming the customers.

We are customers, not your unpaid QA and technical support team.
