Battlefield 6 keeps detecting my peripherals as joysticks

It’s exhausting that every time I want to play BF6, I have to disconnect any peripheral I own — whether it’s a racing wheel, pedals, or even a switch panel with multiple buttons. The game automatically detects them as joysticks, and since these devices don’t have any axis inputs, my soldier just keeps looking down constantly until I unplug everything.

This really needs to be fixed. Having to physically disconnect hardware every time I launch the game makes it borderline unplayable for anyone who owns sim gear.

  • Totally agree. After fighting with this for hours tonight, I finally figured out that my sim racing wheel, pedals, button box, etc was conflicting with my controller. I use a hub to connect some of that as well. And my Arctis headset is connected there, so it's going to take a lot of finagling to play this game. As much trouble as it was to get this thing going - secure boot and all that stuff, I'm almost ready to press for a refund unless I can figure something else out.
