Battlefield 6 mouse input problems

Battlefield 6 appears to have an unacceptable mouse input problem. It feels like I am dragging my mouse through water, and the input is inconsistent. It is very claustrophobic and has had a noticeable impact on stats.

I went back to 2042 which I played 100 hours of after the BF6 beta, to see if it was different and it was like I could breathe again. Despite having historical mouse input problems, 2042 feels much much better than BF6 in terms of aim currently.

Experimented in firing range with moving and smoothly tracking a stationary object while strafing. Appears mouse sensitivity is not stable; cursor will randomly slow down as if sensitivity has dropped. Firing doesn't seem to make any difference; issue persists whether firing or not

Things I've tried:

Mouse polling rates; 500 and 1000

All mouse DPI from 400 to 3200

Universal soldier aim: both on and off, with all relevant tweaks to settings

FOV: all options

Frame generation on and off both in game and in NVIDIA

VSync on and off both in game and in NVIDIA

Raw mouse input on and off

All graphics settings tweaked

Frame cap: tried 60, 90 and 120

Anti Aliasing on and off

Full screen and borderless

Controller settings altered; controller aim assist reduced to zero

Frame rate cap at 90, graphics reduction to minimum and AA off seemed to have minor impact but issue still prevalent

Currently the aiming is simply not functional; it is having a huge negative impact on my gameplay experience. Hoping this issue can be resolved. From Reddit it appears many players are having a similar issue
