Same for me (on PC). Games is basically unplayable for me 9 out of 10 times i launch it. I get the exact problems you´re explaining. I never have connection issues or something like that in ANY other game i play. Very frustrating after paying 70 bucks for that game

TUBBYSEASTAR found the problem wich causes the lags in my case.
The game connects me to the Santiago Data Center wich is located in chile. You can see that in bottom right corner in options Menu.
Thats 12.000KM (~7500miles) away from me. Im pretty close to Frankfurt Germany. Tried all the sollutions i could find. Nothing helped. Fix ur stuff EA instead of focusing on the Battlepass and Skins.
