Comprehensive Bug & Technical Failure Report (Video Proof Included)
To the Battlefield 6 Development Team, This report details a series of critical, game-breaking bugs and severe technical failures currently plaguing Battlefield 6 Redsec. Many of these issues have persisted since the game's launch, and the community is demanding immediate action. **Please watch the video from tirox on Redsec attached to this report.** It provides undeniable visual proof of the following issues: 1. **Nexus Zipline Bug (Season 4 Update)**: The zipline in the Nexus area, which previously worked, is now broken since the Season 4 update. It gets stuck halfway, leaving players stranded and exposed. 2. **Severe Desync & Wall Penetration**: Desync remains a massive problem. Players are frequently killed by bullets that hit them even after they have successfully moved behind solid cover/walls. The server-side registration is completely out of sync with player movement. 3. **Broken Audio Cues (Footsteps)**: The directional audio and footstep identification are fundamentally flawed. Teammates' footsteps often sound like enemies, and downed enemies who are crawling produce audio cues identical to standing enemies running. This makes tactical awareness impossible. 4. **Persistent Hit Registration Issues (RPK LMG)**: Hit registration is still broken. Players frequently empty magazines into opponents with clear hit markers, yet the damage is ignored by the server, leading to unfair gunfight losses. 5. **Overpowered SVD DMR**: The SVD DMR remains an unaddressed meta weapon since launch. It eliminates opponents in three shots, ruining weapon balance for four seasons straight. 6. **Invulnerable Armored Trucks in Ranked**: Armored trucks are still present in ranked matches despite promises to remove them. Being impervious to standard weapons destroys competitive integrity. 7. **Ground Loot Stagnation & Performance**: The ground loot has become stale and inconsistent. Many weapons currently in the loot pool deal negligible damage, requiring excessive ammunition to secure a knockdown. Furthermore, we strongly suggest that the ground loot pool should be rotated or updated every season to keep the gameplay fresh and engaging, rather than remaining static for long periods. 8. **Game-Breaking Floor Phasing (Defend Nexus)**: Players can phase through the floor in Defend Nexus using jump slides, falling into the void or lower levels. 9. **Severe Glitched Map Lighting**: Maps feature pitch-black zones or blinding glare, creating a visually broken and unplayable environment. 10. **Unrealistic Helicopter Physics**: Little Birds and attack helicopters can be crashed into the ground to kill players without exploding, allowing the pilot to immediately fly away again. 11. **Inconsistent Patching Priorities**: EA instantly patches viral issues (like the Season 4 match trigger) but ignores these fundamental bugs that have been present since launch. 12. **Exclusion from Battlefield Labs**: It is deeply frustrating that dedicated community members, who actively document and report critical bugs to improve the game, are denied access to programs like Battlefield Labs. Meanwhile, others who leak information are granted access. This demonstrates a clear disconnect between the development team and the players who genuinely want to help. We urge the development team to prioritize these core gameplay and technical fixes. The community deserves a functional game. If a character uses the "RPK" with a bipod deployed, the machine gun has a broken animation for gripping the weapon by the forearm/handguard — the character appears to be holding the machine gun in mid-air. If the bipod is removed, the forearm/handguard grip animation works normally. Animation of the RPK without the bipod — the character holds the weapon normally: And here's the broken RPK animation with the bipod, where the character holds the weapon in mid-air:56Views2likes6CommentsAuto cannons damage inconsistencies
With the new attack boats I have used the 30mm and shooting at infantry the splash damage seems way to small and to make it better I have hit chest shots and they run off. I was just playing break through and the same thing was happening with the IFV’s. Not all the time but it would still happen. This has to be fixed.Lag spike at spawn menu with AMD graffic cards
Since! s3 Patch, there are on some PCs with AMD graphic cards four seconds of zero CPU frames everytime when the spawn map is loading. The lag also appears every time when switching class/weapons/gadges.. it seems like this is an issue with AMD graffic cards: https://www.reddit.com/r/Battlefield6/comments/1tb8sqd My hardware: cpu: amd Ryzen 5 5600X gpu: amd Radeon RX 9060 XT all drivers up-to-date48Views3likes2CommentsBattlefield 6 Ranked and Battle Royale are fundamentally broken
Hello EA Support, I am extremely frustrated with the current state of Battlefield 6. I paid for a functional competitive multiplayer game, but Ranked and Battle Royale repeatedly feel unfinished, inconsistent, and unfair. These are not isolated minor issues. They directly ruin matches, waste players’ time, and make competitive play meaningless. Broken Ranked party restrictions and unfair matchmaking My two friends and I tried to queue for Ranked together. The game blocked one of us because it claimed their rank was too low. However, after we were forced to split up, that same friend was placed into our match as an enemy. Their squad had higher-ranked players, while two of us were assigned random teammates with no rank at all. If the rank restriction prevents friends from playing together, why does the matchmaking system then put those same supposedly incompatible ranks into the same lobby, on opposing teams? This makes absolutely no sense and creates unfair teams. Players fail to load into the helicopter at the start of Battle Royale This has happened multiple times with players from different countries as well as players from the same country. When the match starts, some or all squad members do not load into the helicopter. By the time they finally load in, the drop phase is already over and they are dead, often without a proper second chance. In some matches, nobody loads into the helicopter until the final seconds. This is a catastrophic launch-phase bug that destroys the entire match before it even begins. Parachute opens incorrectly from very low heights The parachute can open after jumping from a height of roughly one meter. This has repeatedly caused me to lose fights or die because the character enters the parachute/landing animation when it should not happen. Please fix the parachute trigger and landing behavior. It is not reliable or properly optimized. Terrible loot distribution Sometimes I land in an area with almost no loot. Other times, multiple containers contain only shotguns. The loot system feels random in the worst possible way rather than balanced for a Battle Royale mode. Loot distribution needs to be reviewed so that landing zones provide viable early-game options instead of repeatedly forcing players into hopeless situations. Broken helicopter UI information The UI in the helicopter often displays incorrect ranks and incorrect player levels. In a ranked or competitive environment, inaccurate player information is unacceptable. Please investigate and fix the rank and level display issues in the pre-drop UI. Inconsistent map collision and exploitable hiding spots There are locations on the Battle Royale map where collision works inconsistently. Players can get stuck in doors, walls, or map geometry, while other players can hide inside walls and become extremely difficult or impossible to find or hit. Please thoroughly audit the map collision, especially buildings, doors, walls, and terrain. These issues are exploitable and directly damage competitive integrity. I expect this ticket to be reviewed by an actual support or development team member, not answered with a generic “restart your game / check your connection” message. These are recurring gameplay, matchmaking, UI, and map-design problems. I want Battlefield 6 to be worth playing competitively, but in its current condition, Ranked and Battle Royale do not feel reliable or fair.9Views0likes0CommentsWhat’s the deal with all the issues in Gauntlet since update?
I’m gonna focus on gauntlet for now as I’ve seen a lot of other posts about multiplayer and Battle Royale issues. Rodeo…. wtf is going on with rodeo? Tank kills don’t count for 3, even tho it says they still do. Tanks don’t spawn. Not able to open tank container even tho the button is available. wtf? Gunplay feels bad. I’ve loved this game’s gunplay since day 1 release for gauntlet. I have best internet and never had this issue before. But now I can put 5 bullets into someone close-ish range, so really no excuse. Sometimes the bullets do nothing. Then they turn around and lay my **bleep** out? Netcode issues. Tick rate. I dunno. Graphical quality is **bleep** all of a sudden. Game is too dark but also too bright in some areas? Grainy effect on everything. Game just looks like crap compared to before the update. Still having issues pulling the whole party into a game without everyone having to back out 3-5 times. That’s all I can remember now. So here’s. Extra issues: the orange gas is garbage. Do a poll get community feedback and you’ll see not a single person wants it. Unless it’s like one mission every 10 games. So essentially so rare that it basically doesn’t exist. As it shouldn’t exist at all. The new gauntlet mode Aug 18 is 2vs2…. Gauntlet is 4vs4…. So, a complete waste of time limited time mode that will disappear after you guys make as much $$$$ as possible from the top gun collab… Gauntlet has had zero content for two seasons and you guys get developers to work on a waste of time 2vs2 mode? What the **bleep** is going on? That’s it for now. Unfortunate turn of events.5Views0likes0CommentsHigh VRAM Usage, Possible Memory Leak
I noticed that the VRAM usage seems to increase over time during a session on BF6 regardless of the graphics settings used i.e. Low - Overkill. I gave it a test and noted that while setting the graphics to overkill right after launch of the game and prior to loading into a game the VRAM did the following: Started at 8Gb of VRAM usage Increased to 10Gb at the point of the game starting (post loading) Sit at close to 14Gb of VRAM usage in the menu Drop back down to just under 7Gb after I changed it from overkill to another setting and back up to overkill This behaviour seems consistent while playing the game although the values vary but the same increase in VRAM overtime occurs and the longer the play session, the higher the VRAM usage (I've seen it close to the full 16Gb while just in the menu post game). It eventually reaches a point of noticeable stutters, and major FPS decreases whereby it would normally play at 100 - 120 and after some time it would average 60 - 90 regardless of map. I've seen this reported elsewhere such as on Reddit and Steam but I hadn't seen anything on here that I know of so though it may be worth bringing some attention to it. Specs tested on the following with up to date drivers: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Memory: 64GB DDR5 Storage Type: SSD Screenshots included from testing (It states custom on 3 screenshots as I had changed the settings back to Overkill within advanced prior rather than the overall setting)30KViews286likes219CommentsUrgent attention: Difficulty finding matches on native servers
Since the beginning of ranked mode, we have faced several issues, but one has been the most frequent: the lack of local matches. Normal queues are finding matches in less than 10 seconds. This is happening because the Brazilian servers were apparently disabled outside peak hours (6 PM to 1 AM), causing a large part of the community to migrate to casual modes instead of the competitive queue, or forcing them to play on external servers, which harms the competitive experience. In addition, ranked queues for players in the SA region have extremely high waiting times, frequently exceeding 5 minutes and sometimes reaching 15 minutes or more. Besides the delay, many SA players are unable to find servers in their own region and end up being connected to non-native servers (EU/NA), which completely damages the competitive experience and reinforces the previous argument. When matches are found in other regions, several connection problems occur, such as disconnects, rubberbanding, instability, and excessively high ping, making matches practically unplayable and compromising the competitive integrity of ranked mode. A clear example is a member of my squad, nicknamed "I am Baiano", who got demoted in ranked due to suffering multiple disconnects repeatedly. If the goal of ranked mode is to provide a truly competitive experience, all regions should have active servers available at all times. Currently, there is a perception of unfair treatment, since some content creators apparently have access to 24-hour servers. We have received reports of players in the server’s top 10 being able to play for almost 20 hours straight, while the rest of the SA community is unable to play due to the absence of local servers, lack of matches, and absurdly long queue times. What we want is to be treated fairly. We do not mind waiting to play a ranked match, as long as we have the possibility to play on servers in our own region and maintain a fair competitive environment for everyone. EDIT: Since this post got so much attention from the community, we would like to propose some solutions: Proposed solutions: 1. Keep crossplay always enabled in ranked queues (single queue); 2. Allow squad mode only in ranked matches; 3. Allow players who currently play on NA servers to also play on Brazilian servers, since we are forced to play on theirs, in order to balance things out; 4. Disable normal squad queues outside of peak hours; 5. In case of low player count, allow longer waiting times in the pre-match helicopter while still keeping players on local servers.1.2KViews45likes23CommentsHit Registration 🥩🏁
Hit Registration / Netcode Feedback I've been playing Battlefield 6 consistently since the beta and have put a lot of hours into the game. I've spent a long time dialing in my controller settings, so I have a good feel for when I genuinely miss my shots versus when something feels off. Lately, I've noticed matches where I'm clearly landing shots on target, but the hit registration feels inconsistent. It can seem like bullets aren't registering correctly, damage is delayed, or the overall experience isn't matching what I'm seeing on my screen. As a comparison, my friend and I switched over to Halo Infinite after a frustrating Battlefield 6 session. The difference was immediately noticeable. My shots connected consistently, I finished the first match with 15 kills, our team won, and the gameplay felt responsive. It reminded me that Halo Infinite also had significant hit registration and networking issues at launch, but the developers made major improvements over time by refining the networking and hit detection. I'm not saying Battlefield 6 has the exact same issue, but I do think it's worth investigating the hit registration, netcode, latency compensation, or desync. I really enjoy Battlefield 6 and want it to succeed, which is why I'm taking the time to provide this feedback instead of simply complaining. Please continue investigating hit registration consistency across all servers and network conditions. Even small improvements in this area would make a huge difference to the overall gameplay experience. Thank you for all the work you're putting into the game.
