Bugged after loadout swap after death

You die, you pass the revive, and press edit loadout, you select a new weapon and the whole hud is just gone, you cant do anything, only fix is pressing y (in my case, kbm).  It spawns you immediately but theres no hint or way of showing how to respawn or get to the map or anything. No redeploy button in the pause menu until after you respawn.
