Character drift on PS5

After this latest patch, my character suddenly starts drifting after I stop running. I had my controller settings set just right. I tried multiple matches, and it keep happening. I start running, then stop, aim and my character starts drifting sideways. Sometimes even going through walls. It makes it frustrating when I am adjusting my aim and suddenly my character slides sideways and puts me out of cover. 

I reset my controller setting to default, every single one. That did nothing to change it. I got out of the match and got back into another one. Still the problem persists. 

I changed controller, and even shut the game off and turned it back on. That did not help.
