Drone bug with a sledgehammer

I was unable to get video of this, but did see it. There were at least 3 players standing on top of the Recon Drone, at least one with the Sledgehammer melee weapon (don't know if this matters). The drone then proceeded to fly up into the air with the players on top and the sledgehammer player swinging the hammer (again don't know if this matters). When I witnessed it it was Escalation on Iberian Offensive. Once they were in the air they proceeded to spread out on the rooftops.
