The drone can carry friendlies to buildings inaccessible to those without a heli or jet to get to. They are having a friendly jump on it and hit the drone with a sledge hammer causing it to launch in the air repeatedly to get to buildings with no access.
It's on every map. Absolutely game-breaking for modes like Breakthrough and Rush. This needs to be fixed quickly.

Yep. People are exploiting the drones to get to rooftops that are typically not meant to be accessed. Happening on every breakthrough map I have tried to play tonight.
Yes. Completely agree. Today most Rush and Breakthrough rounds have been awful. First few days were fine but now a lot of players are using and the **bleep** streamers are making videos so it's just spreading like wildfire. It's completely breaking the flow of the maps. I'm just leaving matches as soon as I see people exploiting this. It's ridiculous. I guess if not I'm strictly playing Conquest an ignoring all other modes. Please fix this asap.
Correct they're using the drone and the sledgehammer to reach the roofs on most of the Breakthrough maps, but mostly on Siege of cairo on conquest. They need to fix that fast and add out of area timer on all those places.

People have been using drone to boost themselves really high in the sky and then they drop down with parachute to get to places we are not supposed to. One person need to drive the drone and another person need to step on it. You can't do that solo I think, but I haven't really tried
It needs two people due to the fact that Recon cannot use the sledgehammer I think. But the drone does not need to be driven, you only place it and hit it.
Edit: nvm it can be done by one person as well
Also, I request not only the FIX of this, but BAN. According EA user agreement (https://www.ea.com/legal/user-agreement), all these players should "Do not engage or assist in cheating, collusion, unfair play, or using exploits". EA must take action to ensure this doesn't happen again. And the idea of exploiting bugs never enters the minds of these people again. Only 1 opportunity to do this - BAN.
I also just picked up video evidence. one guy was trying to do it at liberation peak. New Sobek City still appears to have a big issue with rooftops, but I think people are using either assault ladders from one of the building clusters in sector 2 and/or the drone+hammer exploit. I did see people on top of the bridge at Mahatten Bridge in breakthrough today.
It can't be done solo as the drone will get destroyed, but it does give you a slight boost into the air, but I've only tested once.
