Edit loadout breaks respawning in CQB playlist

I've run into a repeatable issue in the CQB playlist tonight.  In Domination and King of the Hill, you can edit your loadout while down by holding the view button. After editing the loadout, backing out will not respawn you; it will return you to your downed POV with the camera locked and no HUD elements. You can open and navigate around the menu, but nothing else. 

I eventually respawn, and I believe pressing the view (edit loadout) button again triggers it, but since there are no indicators or HUD while this is happening, I don't know for sure.  I just kept pressing buttons and cycling through the menu, hoping it would register something and respawn me.
