Editing a loadout while dead stops you respawning

If you get downed, and the "Edit Loadout" option appears and you choose it, when you exit the loadout menu, you're stuck looking at the blurry perspective of your dead body, unable to respawn. All you can do is leave the game.

This has happened twice to me on the small team version of the Iberian Offensive map. I'll test and update if this occurs on other maps.
