Hello EA/DICE team,
I would like to report a serious issue with the Recon Specialist I challenge in Battlefield 6. Since the latest update (version 6.4), the challenge is completely not tracking any progress.
I’ve already tried everything possible:
– Playing as Recon in both All-Out Warfare and Portal modes
– Using all Recon gadgets (SOFLAM, Motion Sensor, etc.)
– Spotting enemies inside objective zones
– Restarting the game and relogging
Despite this, the counter stays at 0. I’m still receiving XP and spotting points in-game, but the challenge itself never progresses. Many other players are experiencing the exact same issue right now.
Please, fix this bug as soon as possible or confirm if a hotfix is planned. It’s one of the key class progression steps and currently impossible to complete.

For this one at least on Xbox series S I had to untrack the challenge and then restarted my game then after the restart I tried it with the recon drone, motion sensor,laser designator and my recon class aiming at enemy targets to mark them while making sure the enemy where in the capture radius for it to count for me while hitting the spot button if they didn’t get auto spotted after a few moments. Now if it doesn’t work for you still try the portal/community maps with it not being tracked and those gadgets if you have them. Hopefully this helps. Still don’t understand why it bugs out when pinned/tracked by it being stuck after so many spots or doesn’t track at all sometimes.
Same on PC. Recon gadgets assists dont get tracked properly for this assignment !
