Thank you for all the reports and details! Just to confirm, this issue has been passed along for the team to investigate further.
If you happen to have a controller available, we've seen a number of players mention that plugging one into your PC should allow you to exit the stuck chat and continue playing. While more of a temporary workaround than an actual fix, that may be worth a try while we're looking into things from this end.
We'll update the thread once we have any additional details to share, thank you for hanging in there in the meantime.
