Game keeps crashing since the update!
It abruptly crashes at the splash screen. It used to happen every once in a while, but now it happens almost every time since the latest update. I literally can't play the game anymore.
Ideas
Same thing is happening to me. Can't get past the splash screen. I have tried validating the files and even installing it on another drive. I have my system set up for safe boot in the correct settings and was playing just fine before this update. If I can't get this fixed I will be requesting a refund, as 70 bucks is quite a bit for a waste of space on my computer and disappointing my friends every time they ask me if I want to play with them.
I've managed to completely fix it by going to c: program files>EA>AC and use the EAnticheat.Installer.exe and uninstall it completely from there. Then I did a file integrity check for the game on steam, then I used ccleaner to clean and fix the registry, then I updated windows, then did the dism recovery on a command prompt and then an sfc /scannow, then I went into my network adapters list and disabled my vpn's that I wasn't using anyway and then restarted the pc and now so far no crashes for the past day.
