Helicopter can't freelook and pitch or yaw at same time

While holding the freelook button (which ideally should be toggleable, but currently you have to hold), there's no way to pitch or yaw at the same time. You can turn the helicopter though, so only pitching up and down or rolling left and right are blocked. This is on PS5 by the way.

I'm guessing this is because the default controls have freelook and roll/pitch mapped to the right analog stick. However, I changed the mappings so that only freelook is mapped to the right stick, and pitch & roll are on the left stick, while turning uses L1 and R1.

No matter what mappings I've tried for the freelook button, pitch controls, and roll controls, you can never freelook while also maneuvering, even when there is no overlapping between the mappings.

This is frustrating because I want to freelook to aim the helicopter weapons while also being able to continue maneuvering.
