Interrupted Reload bug

This is mostly painful of belt fed MGs with long reload times but after you remove your belt/magazine and your reload gets interrupted for some reason, lets say by performing a traversal the belt/magazine magically reapers in you weapon and you have to start the entire reload process over again rather than picking up from the point you left off at.   The behavior I expect is "Start reload>reload interrupted by X>X completed>reload picks up at point it left off at"  I will say I can see this being a choice made by design but in case it was not I am submitting this as a bug.
