Laser designator painting bug

When I am holding the laser designator, zoomed in, and painting, I will occasionally have my zoom cancelled and my character place the laser designator on the ground vs. complete the painting. It happens a lot when using the designator.

PC, Windows 11, up to date system and game.

    I have this issue as well. I find it happens more when I'm looking straight than towards the sky. Like the game does not recognize that I'm in handheld mode scoped in.

    Yes, I ahve same issue on Xbox Serie X
    And i have a problem too, which is if i Zoom using the target designator, i am unable to un-zzom after for the whole match
