Re: PSA: Mouse Input is broken in this game (looks similar to bad frame timing)

The bug: When looking around the screen by moving the mouse, everything apart from my character's arms and weapon judders/stutters visually. It makes the game unplayable with the mouse.

However, if I connect a controller, the problem is not present.

This is not a user's pc performance issue because it happens at even the lowest in-game graphics settings.

Workaround: Disabling gsync and enabling frame generation to maintain 240FPS to match my 240Hz monitor, makes the problem go away, but this cannot be considered a fix. It is merely a workaround, which introduces extra latency from enabling frame generation.

My hardware: I am running: MSI 240Hz OLED 3440x1440p monitor, Nvidia 5090, AMD 9800X3D, 64GB 6000MT/s RAM, NVME PCIE Gen 4 SSD.

I play many other FPS games including Battlefield 4, The Finals, Arma Reforger, Escape from Tarkov, and others, and none of these other titles exhibit this behaviour.

I default to using the following settings for all those other games and receive a smooth mouse-look experience with variable framerates:

Nvidia Control Panel: Gsync = on, vsync = on

In-game: vsync = off, Nvidia Reflex = on, Frame Generation = off

The settings I must use to receive a smooth mouse-look experience from Battlefield 6 are:

Nvidia Control Panel: gsync off, vsync on, DLSS Overrides = all on with "Latest" presets, Preferred Refresh Rate = Highest Available, shader cache = unlimited,

In-game: vsync off (it's already on in NVCP), DLSS upscaling = Quality, DLSS Frame Gen = x2. Graphics settings = maximum everything.

There are a lot of other users experiencing this issue since the open beta. Here are some more posts:

I would like to work with EA/Battlefield Studios' support to resolve this issue. Please let me know if you need more information.

EA_LeeuwEA_Leeuw As community manager, please can you explain why this bug report of mine has been renamed with the title of someone else's technical issues post and moved from "Bug Reports" into the "Technical Issues"?

Can't help but feel EA is not prepared to address this issue at all, considering the lack of response to reports during the Open Beta and to the other post (the title of which my (this) post now shares for some reason): https://forums.ea.com/discussions/battlefield-6-technical-issues-en/psa-mouse-input-is-broken-in-this-game-looks-similar-to-bad-frame-timing/12734467/replies/12734356

My original title for this post was: mouse-look judder with variable framerate - fine with controller
