I find it amazing that this bug not only made it into a patch release, but that the patch went out 15 hours or so ago, and the complaints started 12+ hours ago when the first folks woke up this morning, patched for 35 minutes.
Its not only amazing that this slipped past what ever minimal QA was done for the patch, but that the noise has been going on for that long and yet not one comment by any EA employee about why it happened, when it will be fixed or even a simple WE'RE SORRY CUSTOMERS, WE MESSED UP.
I worked in the IT industry as everything from a developer to a systems architect for 40 years before I retired two years ago, one of the cardinal rules was always "Keep the customer happy or you loose their business". This rule was not to be violated or the company would go out of business.
Stupid, idiotic, not so easily missed bugs that impact a game to the point of making it almost unplayable is not a way to keep the customer happy.
For all of us who paid too much for this game in the first place, this is EA letting us know they no longer want to stay in business.
