Orange Dot Notifications Will Not Clear
Haven't we all had enough of the endless orange dots in the game? Every mission, every firearm, every season pass level... Even if you patiently click each one to get rid of them, it doesn't matter....

This may be a known issue :
The orange dot shows that you have a new unlock but it doesn't show you exactly where it is. If it's a weapon, you'll have to look through all of the attachments to find it.
The orange dot should lead you through the class, the vehicle, the weapon, or the gadget all the way through like breadcrumbs.

And guess what, when you unlocked attachments and didn’t check them to de-mark them and change the gun to a different one you still have these orange markers for the previous gun attachments for your new gun.
Im having the exact same issue. The orange dots are present for now across all guns and attachments at the class screen and general weapon screen, but when you try to go find it to clear it you cant find it. Spent so much time trying to clear them but cant find it.
DICE: Please add a marked all as read button to clear the orange unlocks! Or fix the orange symbol to take you all the way what you unlocked so you can clear it.
The new item alert, orange dot on the top right, for weapon upgrades, items (scope, mags, grips, etc) is somewhat nonsensical. First, they are persistent... even when checked. This happened with the Variable Scope 1-4x that unlocked for all weapons... can't seem to clear it... even after clicking through each one for each weapon. Next, You cannot see exactly which category has the new item... so the dot is on the weapon, but not on the item category... so you have to click through each one to find it. And even then, some dots remain no matter if all items have been looked at. Also, you see the gold dot for categories or weapons OTHER than the weapon that it originally shows up on. Overall, it would be great if you can look at this and make it user friendly and coherent. Great game overall.. thanks!

The orange/red dots that indicates a new attachment has been unlocked are entirely unpredictable. Some weapons you can clear the new attachment icon and it will still show the orange dot on the weapon thumbnail (no, this is not occurring from new weapon blueprints). Some weapons you can clear all new attachments and still have orange dots present on the attachment section. It is virtually impossible to distinguish which guns actually have new attachments and which have faulty icons on them. For reference, I am on PC but my friends on Xbox have also reported this issue. Unsure about PS.
In the above screenshots you can see that it's telling me I have a new item on foregrips. Once I click into the section, there is nothing new available. This isn't the only instance of the problem but context for what I'm referring to. This seems to randomly reset itself as it isn't persistent, presumably on game restart or some other event. This means the problem isn't staying but it is certainly not updating at the times that it should. If I clear the notification of a new attachment it should go away. This is a call of duty problem, c'mon.

it has been 4 months and they still didn´t fix it, there are a lot of unbalance and bugs and problems that makes every match unplayble.... which team did you mean? maybe the "team" is sleeping :D
Just wanted to confirm this is still occuring on Xbox. I have unlocked new attachments and gone through them all to check what was new, and I still have the notification dot on the main weapon thumbnails.
Can confirm still an issue to this day. I'm on PS5 and I cannot remove the thumbnail notification for one of my weapons (Kord assault rifle) despite me already having gone through all attachments. This results in all my classes having the notification.
i have an Orange dot on my Player Card Icon category that won't go away.

Looked at "hidden" icons (I own them all)
How do I fix this bug?After purchasing the new CST operator bundle (Peripheral Vision + Covert Trespasser), all of my loadouts across every class now show permanent orange notification dots.
The dots appear next to:
- Loadout 1
- Loadout 2
- Loadout 3
- All classes (Recon, Engineer, etc.)
I have opened every item in every loadout, checked every weapon, gadget, skin, and attachment, yet the dots stay. This began immediately after the latest update and the bundle purchase.
Troubleshooting attempted:
- Restarted game
- Restarted system
- Logged out/in EA account
- Cleared every item marked “new”
- Reset loadouts
- Switched operators
- Reinstalled game
None of these clear the dots.
Impact:
The UI constantly indicates false “new items,” making the loadout screen unusable and confusing. This affects every class and every loadout slot.
Expected result:
Loadout tabs should not display notification dots when no new items exist. A “Mark All As Viewed” option or a fix to clear the notification state is needed.
Reproducible:
Yes, happens every time the game is launched.
Request:
Please acknowledge this UI bug and provide a fix in the next update or hotfix.
I have the exact same issue, I also went through great lengths to rid myself of the notification dots, and found that even if they disappear from the menu screen, or specific items, they always stay on the "Loadout 1", etc. just like in the post above. I am playing on PC, and did not purchase any bundles or additional content, in case anyone could theorize that to be the cause of the issue.
I also implore you to acknowledge this bug, and fix it!

I have it as well and done what you did Astr0 and still have the orange dot
It says I have a "new" Player Card Icon but when I look there is not a "new" one there, but the Orange Dot remains.
Orange dots indicatetin new attachments not clearing weapons with a new banner on them not clearing icons in profile head line has an orange dot but no new things in there
Me too (on PC) -- weapons screen is just FULL of orange dots that will not go away : this is since the update on 19th march
ffs fix your bullcrap, I have orange dots all over that are just nothing when I click into the actual menu. What a bunch of miserable amateurs these developers are.
Probably trying to figure out how to cut the digital **bleep**' off the male characters instead of fixing their idiotic mistakes.
most of the weapon dots are due to the universal attachments they gave all the weapons (lights and lasers).
But ive notice that any new custom gun skins you unlock via the season pass causes that gun type to be 'pipped', thinking the entire type is new. I havent found a way to unpip it. And being all the classes can use those guns, all the classes are pipped as well.
Nothing else about this game annoys me more than notification blips that I cannot clear. It seems like the most simple fix too, just add a "clear all notifications" button, it would mean the world of a difference for me.
PS5 has this issue as well. New feature "DOT" that shows nothing new and wont go away on certain guns. I think is the flash hider not being on some of the weapons in the 3 stage challenge tier.. It didnt happen until I got past the 3rd stage that gives the muzzle flash add ons. IE the new flashlights attachments
