Permanently Downed

Playing a normal conquest mode on Olympia on PS5 and got killed between E and B. Accepting that loss, since I was by myself, I held the "skip revive" button. Once the meter went fully down and the flatline noise played, I didn't die, but instead I was just permanently downed, able to move my camera around, see players in real time, ping, and request a revive. Was playing with a friend and asked if they could revive me, and he said he could still see the "revive me" option in game and on the map, but when he got to me, I was invisible and he was unable to interact with me. With no way to respawn while in that "downed" state, I was forced to leave the game.
