REDSEC Strike Packages / Call-ins don't work with modified key bindings
I'm playing on PS5, and I have swapped my X and R1 controls over.
By default, X pings under the crosshair, and R1 throws a grenade.
I switched them around so that X throws a grenade, and R1 pings under the crosshair. Thus, I can hold R1 to open the Comms wheel.
This is all working fine in the base game, which I paid for, and these bindings are my preferences based on other games I play.
In REDSEC, this does not work correctly, because I am unable to deploy Strike Package / Call-in items like the Air Strike, Smokescreen or Artillery Barrage. The UI says to hold R1 + X to deploy, but this does not work:
- if I hold X and press R1, then I throw a grenade, but the item does not deploy.
- if I have no grenades, when holding X and pressing R1 does nothing,
- if I hold R1 and hit X, the Chat Wheel widget opens, but nothing happens and the item does not deploy.
So it seems that swapping the bindings for R1 and X breaks the REDSEC Strike Package / Call-in mechanism.
If I change back to the default bindings, I am able to call in strike packages as expected.
I don't currently have a workaround for this, as I really, really don't want to change my grenade/ping bindings. It's the same combo, just the bindings that are reversed, and this seems to break the game.
