RPG shots on choppers not showing in kill feed

This bug has been happening since the latest patch, we've see it multiple times to myself and some friends.

Occasional RPG shots on choppers dont register as a takedown, as well as not showing up on the killfeed.  Even when it's in very close proximity.  We "think" we are still getting credit for the kill, but unable to verify.  Often, these wont even show up on our own hud as a kill.  We have recorded vidoes and watched in slow motion, and it definitely is our shot that is getting the hit, so we are assuming a bug.
