Superhuman bots.

Yeah yeah, get gud. Seriously though, these bots now have aim, reactions and movement detection more sensitive than any real player.

Running behind houses in Eastwood, then getting slapped through a window by a bot 130m away....

Standing behind shrubs... slapped

Crawling through smoke...slapped.

If you're player base is down that much that you need bots to populate, that's cool...as long as they are competitive. Competitive in the sense that people can compete with them....

  • Noo don't turn the bots dumb again.

Look I agree they are more difficult but you don't want easy bots like before.

I will agree line of sight needs work. Bots will shoot through smoke or breakable coverage.

I think it's fun they are kinda decent now. Sometimes I get a bot that will be the only bot to kill me will be like 1-7 it's kinda funny.

Had a bot last night I killed once after that this bot would clap me every time and would be the only bot that can. Even the players had a hard time with me.

It's fun I'm sorry. I will admit I play casual breakthrough alot because of netcode and its good practice and fun. You get breathing room to try things.

I say fix line of sight and classes like bot medics suck now and engineers.

Are you daft on purpose? He isn't complaining that bots exist or that he refuses to adapt. He's saying some of them have inhuman sight and reflexes that don't feel remotely player-like.

Getting instantly spotted through foliage, smoke, windows, or the second you expose a pixel is not "good positioning advice," it's the exact problem being described. Telling people to use silencers, go prone, or lean peek doesn't address whether the AI reaction time and detection are overtuned.

The point is they should behave within believable player limits, not like they have perfect visual processing and snap reactions.

  • The bots feel as smart, sometimes smarter, than humans now. While I do find them feeling like they are cheating sometimes with their responce times there are still other occasions where they still act braindead and are easy kills. 1 thing I would like is for them to play the objective and stand on the points in objective modes. Wait real humans don't do that either so I guess that is realistic. I find it funny when I see them walking around corners and through doorways walking backwards. I think certain aspects and behaviors need further adjusting for sure.

    1. Use a weapon attachment like the silencer or the flash comp, when possible, to avoid being automatically spotted while firing a weapon at an enemy player model / entity.
    2. Go prone to clear spotting, or go prone immediately after being fired at.
    3. Use thermal sights: GRIM 1.5x / TH-RDS 1.00x / TS-HD 6.00x
    4. Use cover / ledges, lean / peek while crouched, behind or while adjacent, to a ledge or corner, before firing a weapon at an enemy player model / entity.

The bots are actually really easy. Of course you could still die if there are a lot of them, and you can't use the game mechanics very effectively, or you make a mistake. It's too bad there are no bots in other game modes, like Gauntlet.

  • Yes, please detune the bots back to how they used to be.

Those of us who like casual breakthrough for it being much easier than pvp are unhappy with the change. The whole point of it was to play Battlefield 6 "without the intensity of a full PvP lobby [...] a more relaxed way to play while still earning progression and completing challenges". That's a direct quote from the casual breakthrough introduction announcement. So with that said, I cannot understand why the bots were deliberately made more frustrating to play against.

Edit: I would also like to add that the recent change to the bots' revive intelligence makes for a worse experience as well. Bots used to pick me up all the time, and now they don't even think about coming to help you unless there's no gunfire within earshot for a few moments. Then you have to hold out for them to pick you up because they rarely run defibs, and most of the time they get interrupted (or think they'll be interrupted) and stop reviving you to fight back -- typically failing -- instead of holding onto you for another second or two in order to get you back in the game. Although, I guess if the point was to make the bots seem more like real players, this revive change was a resounding success... Not even bots pick me up anymore.

  • Hello friends!

Penguin has also seen other players across Discord and other Battlefield 6 communities, X.com and similar places, mention that bots can sometimes feel a bit extreme.

Penguin thinks the main issue is not that bots exist, but that their reaction time and accuracy in certain situations feel far beyond and above what a normal player can realistically respond to, especially through smoke, foliage or partial cover.

This is especially noticeable in Casual Breakthrough, where the experience was meant to stay more relaxed and accessible to a lot more players.  When bots behave like this, it can take away from that casual feeling.

If bots are meant to help populate matches, Penguin agrees they should feel fair and competitive, not overwhelming or superhuman.

Small adjustments to detection and reaction could make a big difference for overall gameplay experience.

Penguin supports this report based on community feedback and hopes it helps improve balance for everyone.

Penguin joke: 👉  ''The final boss in Battlefield 6 right now is a Bot with DMR! '' 😀

    Many Thanks
