Tank armor-piercing shell hit reg issue

Tank armor-piercing shells refuse to register and do damage most of the time. It seems completely random as I've had perfect shots at a tank's rear at 20m distance and still refused to do damage, and sometimes it scrapes the edge of a track and still registers and does damage. Other shells work fine.
