Tank stops moving after getting hit

It happens every time playing redsec with a tank. I get hit by seemingly any explosive and my tank just loses its ability to move and it makes it virtually impossible to fight back. Especially against rear attacks but just in general too as i cant reposition for a solid 5-10 seconds after getting hit.
