Vehicle Reload/Exit button mapping is bugged
The mapping functionality of the vehicle Reload/Exit controls are bugged. (XBOX controls used as example)
BACKGROUND: In previous titles, a player would TAP the X button to RELOAD a vehicles weapons (driver/pilot/gunner) or their personal weapon (passenger), and HOLD X to EXIT the vehicle. NOTE: This was not an issue in the open beta, only in the release version of BF6.
ISSUE/PROBLEM/BUG: In THE CURRENT BUILD OF BF6, this mapping is REVERSED. While playing, TAPPING X causes the player to EXIT the vehicle, and HOLDING X reloads. NOTE: The in-game button mapping description (attached) displays the CORRECT/EXPECTED behavior, but when playing the game the button mapping is reversed. There is currently no way for a player to correct this themselves in the mapping menus. This issue happens with all vehicle types and all vehicles.
WHY IS THIS BAD: Players from previous titles experience unexpected behavior when using vehicles, which can result is exiting aircraft unexpectedly while trying to reload the weapons. EXAMPLE: While in the gunners seat of the attack helicopter, TAPPING X to reload results in EXITING the helicopter. Players who examine the in-game mapping will be further confused because the description does not match the behavior. This is especially troubling for veteran players of previous BF titles who have built up 10+ years of muscle memory.
