[VIDEO] Heavy rocket hit reg on helis is broken
After updating the game yesterday, I played a couple of rounds in the attack heli, and found that the 127mm heavy rockets are not hitting enemy helicopters properly. In the first video on Liberation Peak, I fire 5 rockets at an enemy attack heli, and two of them appear to hit. You can hear the rocket-hit sounds and see two explosions on the enemy heli. Two heavy rockets is enough to kill an attack heli every time, yet I got no kill, and not even any XP for vehicle damage. I'm using the heavy warheads option, but that shouldn't matter.
In the second video on Eastwood, I fire some rockets at a UH-60 transport heli. The first few miss, but at least one hits, but there is either no damage done, or not enough. After the rocket hits, you can see that the UH-60 loses 3 out of 10 bars of health. Two heavy rockets is enough to kill a UH-60 every time, so one hit should do more than 3 bars of damage. My gunner was shooting at it too, so I suspect the 3 bars of health lost were from the 30mm gun, not the rocket. My guess is the rocket did no damage, just like in the previous video. Again, I didn't even get any XP for vehicle damage, which further suggests the rocket hit was not registered.
BTW, I'm in a major metro area and my ping is typically 13ms. This relatively slow moving action shouldn't be affected by desync issues.
