Weapon Challenge Unlocks Not Unlocking The Weapon

I started off as a free to play player. Downloaded REDSEC, progressed some challenges. For example, to unlock the KORD 6P67 I needed to inflict x damage with an Assault Rifle and get y kills with an ...

When the requirements for some challenges are unlocked the challenge isn't registered as complete.

Here's my issue. I noticed that the kills-in-a-match portion were counted over multiple matches. So maybe that part hasn't been truly completed yet?
