weapon fire selector will automatically switch to semi

I have the same issue and it happens regardless of class and weapon, usually after reloading, or sprinting the weapon just switches fire mode on its own. 

Same issue, also after I revive someone my gun switches to single fire. Starting yesterday. Class doesn't matter though it's all classes all select fire weapons. I'd be like oh a bad guy start shooting then in the middle of shooting boom single fire then I dye. Or hey I'm going to run that way boom gun switch to single fire. Just another thing making it un fun and un playable. Kinda odd though this problem doesn't happen in portal. 

Did not see the issue at all until the season one update. Boosting this post because now it happens every game, in every fight. 

I have a similar but far worse problem. The settings say the down directional switches firing modes but mine doesn't do anything. The worst part is my weapons will switch to single fire on their own and they get stuck there. I've looked online in the usual places and many people have the problem but there's no fix that I've seen. Let me know if you fixed it.

I have a similar issue except my L3 won't unbind to L3 so everytime you sprint. You keep switching it back and forth. And so when it comes time to shoot you expect full auto but you get semi. Idk why..if I wanted a semi auto..I'd choose one..why have every gun a semi auto makes or have the ability to change it completely. There is no option to unbind it. Just add another bind.
