Xbox controller settings not saving

After the new update, my controller settings went back to default. it has happened every time there is a new update, but this time, after spending time adjusting my settings again. When i log into a game or firing range, it still feels the same, and that’s because the settings are still set to default. My controller tuning won’t save which makes it frustrating after spending almost 20 minutes tuning them only to see that they go back to default right after.
