Key Bindings not being honoured

Issue: F1 24 – Custom Control Bindings Not Honoured

I’m using MOZA pedals with a Thrustmaster Ferrari wheel on PC (Steam). My ERS +/– inputs are correctly mapped and worked fine in qualifying, time trials, and races until recently. Now they fail to respond in all sessions, despite showing correctly in the control settings. The buttons have reverted to brake binding, which is what I initially put in the controller settings

I’ve tried:
- Rebinding controls manually
- Disabling Steam Input
- Deleting and restoring config files
- Reinstalling the game
- Disabling Steam Cloud and launching fresh
- Re-enabling Steam Cloud with clean local files

Despite this, the game appears to restore outdated bindings and ignores changes. I suspect a corrupted cloud profile or input polling conflict. I’d like help resetting control mappings without losing game progress.

Follow-Up: Possible Link to July 15 Content Update

Shortly after the July 15 content update for F1 24 (Steam logged “Installed Content” at approximately 4:11), my ERS rotary control stopped functioning across all sessions. Prior to this, the bindings were working flawlessly — and Windows confirms the rotary sends Button 14/15 inputs.

While I can’t confirm the exact timing of when the issue began, the proximity to the update seems more than coincidental. No hardware changes or input remapping occurred during that time.

    Post-update behavior:
    - ERS input unresponsive despite correct bindings
    - Display shows brake bias/diff HUD when rotary is used
    - Rebinding and profile rebuild attempts fail to resolve it

Can EA confirm if anything in the July 15 update modified input prioritization, controller handling, or mapping layers?

Would appreciate any insight from support or fellow players experiencing similar behavior.

    Further testing

Bug Summary: ERS Mode Indicator Missing After July 15 Update

    Platform: PC (Steam)
Peripherals: MOZA Pedals + Thrustmaster Ferrari Wheel
    Report Code: N/A
    Game Version: F1 24 (Post–July 15 Content Update)

    Issue Description:
Since the July 15 content update (logged by Steam as “Installed Content” at ~4:11), the ERS mode indicator (Off / Medium / Overtake) no longer appears in the HUD. However, ERS deployment is functioning — confirmed via telemetry and the green bar lighting up on the dash.

This is not a hardware issue:
    - Rotary dial and fallback buttons (14/15, 24/25) send valid input.
    - RS Dash telemetry confirms ERS deployment occurs.
    - ERS assist is set to Manual, and inputs are mapped correctly.

The problem is purely visual feedback — the ERS mode box is missing or bugged, making manual deployment blind and reactive.

    Steps Taken to Diagnose:
    - Verified input via Joy.cpl and RS Dash telemetry.
    - Rebuilt control profiles and tested alternate bindings.
    - Increased brake deadzone to rule out ghost input.
    - Attempted HUD restoration via Customize OSD (F7/F8/F9) — ERS box not found.
    - Confirmed MFD and other HUD elements are functioning normally.

    Why This Matters:
Without visible ERS mode feedback, manual deployment becomes guesswork — undermining gameplay, strategy, and immersion. This issue appeared immediately after the July 15 update and affects multiple users across platforms.

    Request:
Can EA confirm whether the July 15 update modified HUD behavior or input prioritization? Is the ERS mode box now hidden by default, or has it been removed unintentionally?

Please escalate this to the QA team for investigation. A temporary workaround or confirmation would be appreciated.

    Further

Additional Detail: ERS Mode Confirmation No Longer Flashes

While ERS deployment works via rotary input (green bar activates), the expected brief MFD pop-up showing ERS mode (e.g. Overtake, Medium) no longer appears unless the full MFD is manually opened and kept active. This behavior changed after the July 15 update.

    Previously:
    - ERS mode flashed briefly on screen when rotary was used.
    - No need to keep MFD open.

    Now:
    - ERS mode only visible if MFD is open full-time.
    - Makes manual deployment harder to track mid-race.

This seems like a HUD regression or layering bug. Can EA confirm if this was an intentional change or a side effect of the update?
